Leopard or zebra bathroom decor can be very striking. Your bath can resemble a moment from a safari. It can reflect your interest in wildlife. Or it may just reveal your wilder side.
Either leopard or zebra bathroom decor will work best if you remember the secret to perfect color combinations: the 60-30-10 rule. Approximately 60 percent of the color used in your bath decor should be your dominant color. Another 30 percent should be your secondary color. The remaining 10 percent of your bathroom decor should be an accent color.
Leopard or zebra bathroom decor will likely take the 60 and 30 from the colors of the animals. The 10 percent accent color will complement the colors of the animals’ skins.
Leopard Bathroom Decor
Leopard bathroom decor should use muted golden tan as the 60 percent, dominant color. This will give your bathroom a light, warm look. Brown makes a good 30 percent color. Choose green for your 10 percent accent color to give a jungle look. How will it come together?
Use golden tan tub, toilet, and sink. Try to match the lighter shade of a leopard’s skin. A dramatic, leopard print shower curtain can be the focal point of your leopard bathroom decor. We saw a stunning curtain that pictured a leopard in a tree, the curtain bordered in leopard skin print. Scatter rich brown floor rugs on a golden tan floor. Paint the walls a lighter hue of the golden tan. You might like to use large, rich brown wall tiles on the bottom 30″ to 40″ of your walls. Use golden tan towels with a leopard skin border. Use jungle green for soap dish, toothbrush holder, tumbler, and other bathroom decor. Finish with hanging plants – live or silk.
Zebra Bathroom Decor
Zebra bathroom decor should use white as the 60 percent, dominant color. This will give your bathroom a light, bright look. Black makes a good 30 percent color. If you like drama, choose red for your 10 percent accent color. How will this bathroom decor come together?
Use white tub, toilet, and sink. A fun, black-and-white zebra print shower curtain is a great way to start your zebra bathroom decor. Use black floor rugs on a white floor, and a black seat cover. Run a 10″ wide zebra-head wallpaper border above the wainscoting or where white walls meet white ceiling. Use red towels with a zebra pattern border. Use the same red for soap dish, toothbrush holder, tumbler, and other bathroom decor. Finish with hanging plants – live or silk.

Will purple be a good color with the zebra theme. like purple rug, soap dish, towels, or purple walls.
Yes, I have my room and bathroom in purple and zebra. If done right it will look great!
You have to be extremely careful in using zebra pattern in a bathroom especially if the outside colors are completely different. From a designer point of view this can be very scary. Accents of black with more white will truly make the space less dramatic but unique. Great post.
